Alexandria is a graduate of Albany Law School. While studying there, she participated in the Innovation Intensive program with the Research Foundation for the State University of New York. Alexandria also completed an internship at the Community Economic Development Clinic at the Justice Center at Albany Law School as well as volunteer work with the United Tenants of Albany.
Before attending law school, Alexandria earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Utica University in 2016. She conducted research on nitrogen emission from fossil fuel combustion and its subsequent deposition in watersheds. In 2018, Alexandria earned a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Science from Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.

SIRNA Therapeutic (a Merck subsidiary), Theft of trade secrets case involving siRNA delivery technology, obtained a preliminary injunction and a favorable settlement for Protiva Syngenta Seeds, Inc. v. Monsanto Co., obtained jury verdict in transgenic plant technology patent infringement case Allergan, Inc. v. Alcon Laboratories, Inc., two successive Hatch Waxman patent infringement cases won on summary judgment and successfully defended on appeal. Cordis v Boston Scientific and Cordis v. Medinol, two multimillion dollar verdicts on patent infringement cases involving cardiac stents and four jury trials on bifurcated liability and damages. Ortho Pharmaceutical Corp. v. Amgen, Inc., arbitration of a contract dispute involving a $3 billion erythropoietic biotherapeutic.

After earning her JD degree at Fordham University School of Law, she joined a sophisticated IP boutique where she represented many Fortune 500 companies having some of the world’s most famous trademarks. She also served as in-house counsel to a global consumer electronics and consumer products corporation. Ms. Pelaez's intellectual property practice includes trademarks, copyrights, and domain names, where she focuses on domestic and international trademark clearance, prosecution, enforcement, proceedings before the USPTO and TTAB and strategic portfolio management.
